Platform House
Why Platform? The 'platform' has been remodelled recently, but what was it for? Maybe it was a stopping point for carriages where people could walk straight into or off the carriages without climbing the steps? In the 1960s a steam roller lost control and crashed into the platform. Thankfully no-one was injured.
